Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978, was the child of Asalia Nazario, and Aridio Saldana. Her father was Dominican while her mother is Puerto Rican. Her birthplace was in Queens. Her family and she relocated to the Dominican Republic at the age of 10, and there they would spend the next seven year. Zoe's interest in dance was spurred by the time they were in the Dominican.
