Paula Patton has a distinguished career as an actress as well as a producer and director. Her most prominent work is for her role as a lead actress in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Born into the middle class family living in Los Angeles and had big dreams for her future. Instilling a passion for film within her daughter was a skill that was a gift from her mother, she also enjoyed watching films. Paula took part in numerous activities at school that were co-curricular and had a particular interest in dramatics. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends, and she participated in school productions. She was a part of numerous productions at her high school Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and then decided to pursue acting as a profession. She was part of The University of Southern Cal's Summer program and enjoyed it immensely. The program was an award for a PBS project for three months to shoot documentary films. After she had completed her three-month task successfully, her first job was working in the production department of television documentaries. Then she moved on to producing documentaries. While she was awed by her work however, she always wanted acting roles. in the film romantic comedy Hitch she starred in a minor part alongside Will Smith. Since then she has appeared in a variety of film and TV shows.
