Amy Smart was an American model and actress. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. She began her acting career in 1996, when she appeared in The TV production Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for an appearance for her in Starship Troopers. Amy was unable to make the switch from modeling to acting, as model actors aren't generally considered an actor of high quality. Models are often only given minor or unimportant roles. Amy persevered. She climbed the ladder to bigger roles. She began in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform some more notable role. Amy found her recognition after more than 10 years of struggling. She continued to do important films like Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved regular role.
