Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. The modeling career she began with was in Italy which is where she was raised before being was born in California. Her first role as an actor was in the 1996 TV movie Her Costly Affair. Then, as a supporting character in the film Starship Troopers she struggled very for a long time. It was a difficult transition for Amy since she needed transition from modelling to performing. Models aren't considered great actors, so they usually play smaller, less important roles. Amy did not give up. She climbed the ladder to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Then she stepped into leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than 10 years of struggling. She then went on to work in many of the greatest movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless with Jason Statham, in which she played a recognizable character.
